The Importance of quality food

Despite all the New Years resolutions, we sometimes lose out in the power struggle with the wrong kind of food. Our bodies are made from molecules derived from what we eat so of course, we need quality food. But why is it that when we reach for an apple, we choose chocolate instead. It could be due to the lack of will power, however that’s what generally happens.

Be wary of what you think your stomach is telling you. What you perceive as hunger is usually boredom. There is no need to eat every five minutes, however, if you have to eat more frequently in order to prevent irritability or dizziness you may be suffering from a blood sugar imbalance. In which case you should avoid anything sugary and start-eating foods to keep your blood sugar even – beans, peas, oats, grains, fish and poultry will help. When we eat healthy food it doesn’t take long to feel full. When we eat food that has very little nutrient value, you will notice you want to eat, and keep on eating.
